Physical Environment

This section assesses the impacts that affect the physical processes operating in the marine environment, as a result of marine aggregate dredging. A range of geological, geomorphological and hydrodynamic processes are discussed, which can all be potentially affected by the changes in seabed morphology resulting from the removal of sediment during the dredging process. Monitoring and mitigation measures that can be used to reduce the potential impacts on the physical processes can also be found within this section.
